Three young people embark on a journey in search of a place in eastern Prussia, formerly a German province, now Russian military exclusion zone. The stage – a giant psychogeographic map that is drawn live during the performance – tries to make sense of a complex relationship between the memories of a vanished place and the unavoidable everyday experiences of the journey. Suddenly, the reality of a shipwreck stops the nostalgic meandering as the stage is flooded, dissolving the linework and leaving the audience exposed to their own reflected image on the surface of the black pool. The light changes and the characters dance a waltz below the dappled pattern that the water reflects back onto the stage ceiling.
