Middleton Road is an elegant terraced house with a beautiful garden, the main living space located on a formerly compromised lower ground floor. The design strategy transforms the space, maximising impact with a finite budget. We concentrated on four main elements, a counter-folding glazed screen, a simple and functional kitchen, a new floor and a wood burning stove. White walls, pine floorboards and painted timber units give the space a serene appearance, whilst acting as a blank canvas for our client’s furniture collection. The glazed screen brings in daylight and creates unimpeded flow between inside and outside.
